Arches NP has over 2,000 natural stone arches amid a landscape of contrasting colors. Hiking, jeep and ATV tours, and river rafting are draws to this recreational paradise. Chicken Creek Nordic area offers groomed trails. Explore a 5.1 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Mancos, Colorado. Hike a 13.8-mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Mancos, Colorado.

Starry Nights Ranch offers captivating views of sunsets, starry nights and Mesa Verde National Park, a World Heritage site. Dolores, about 15 miles away, will be holding its Dolores River Festival this year on Saturday, June 4th, at Joe Rowell Park. Boomdiggity, Mancos Mystical Market featuring drums, jewels, and art will be re-opening on June 18th during the Burro Fest. Mancos also is featuring a "2nd Saturday Art Walk " on July 9, August 13, and September 10 from 4-7 pm. The visitor center and museum always has great exhibits focusing on archeological sites in the 4 Corners region, local Native Americans, and the history of the area. Artisans of Mancos - 6 km, Majestic Dude Ranch - 7 km, Kilgore American Indian Art - 6 km.
Other attractions
This Saturday, June 18th is annual Burrofest at Boyle Park starting at 10am. Colorado's highest and steepest ski mountain offers an un-groomed, no-easy-way-down expert terrain for those who prefer skiing the old-school way. Ouray has no nearby ski area to attract the tourism of other alpine Colorado towns. This nano brewery offers great beer carfted in 2 to 7 barrel batches. Guests remember that Far View is located about 15 miles from the entrance to the park along a winding road. The longest-running offering originally taken by miners and cowboys takes about 3 1/2 hours. The Monument has been used for thousands of years. A great group of volunteers spend many hours taking care of the more than 10 miles of trails for both classic and skate skiing.
