Step Back in Time
Ouray is known as 'The Switzerland of America' and is surrounded by the rocky peaks of the San Juan Mountains. Box Canyon Lodge & Hot Springs is a Victorian style hotel dating back to 1959. The historic charm has been maintained throughout the years in keeping with the Victorian architecture present throughout the town. The hotel is located at a quiet end of road near the entrance of box canyon. The hotel is known for the medicinal mineral hot springs that percolate out of the hillside behind the hotel and are captured in 7 red cedar tubs before emptying into the Uncompahgre River across the street.
