Location and Access
Arrowhead Mountain Lodge is 65 km from Montrose Regional Airport, halfway between Gunnison and Montrose off Highway 50. The turn off the highway is between mile marker 123 and 124. A blue signpost 'Arrowhead Lodge' and a brown 'Alpine Plateau' sign are on the highway before the turn. Access to the lodge is via a 5.5-mile dirt road, passable by most vehicles. From late October to mid-May, snow tires or chains are recommended. The lodge borders BLM land and is a few miles from the Uncompahgre National Forest.
Arrowhead Services
Arrowhead Mountain Lodge is pet-friendly, with a one-time charge of $25 per room (max 2 pets). Housing is included as part of employment compensation with a private room in a 4-bedroom house with 2 bathrooms. Discounted side-by-side rentals and use of a company snowmobile are available for staff.
